The cake was a lie

So delicious and moistOne month is like an eternity on the internet, but I’m not going to let that stop me from writing a late reply to Big Red Kitty’s post.

No matter how awkward the timing turned out to be, it’s certainly flattering to receive a BRK stamp of approval. It’s also somewhat bewildering to see the sudden stampede of visitors that followed. Holy Hunters Batman!

However, there are two things need to be said. Yes, I know, I know, I’m very late with this, but I simply have to get them off my chest.

Firstly, I hope I won’t go down into the blogosphere history as that-girl-who-invented-the-word-”noobcakes”. Afer all, noobcakes is hardly a newly invented word, as a quick google search will undoubtedly teach you.

Secondly, and this one bothers me quite a bit: very few people seem to understand that The WoW Commandments is nothing but a, rather badly executed, parody on an existing song. The link is in the post, folks. Good stuff. Give it a listen.

What I’m absolutely not doing is telling other people how to play the game. Maybe I should have added a disclaimer above the post (”the views expressed in this post do not necessarily reflect the views of the author”, something along those lines). Either way, I’m a bit sad to see how some people simply copy and paste the text onto their own blog or guild forum without providing the proper context. I mean… it makes me look like such a twat.

Anyway, I just wanted to set that straight. Kudos to those of you who did get the joke.

Oh right, before I forget: yes, I am indeed female, both in-game and otherwise. :P And Mr. Witch Doctor is in fact not a Witch Doctor himself. He’s an excellent Tauren hunter with variable spec, and he also appreciates obscure Portal references!

Meh

So I’ve left my guild.

It was a sad situation really. Me and Mr. Witchdoctor have been in this guild since day one, and have met a lot of wonderful people there. Unfortunately, we’ve also met a lot of… let’s say, socially challenged types. And, without going too much into the hows and whys of our decision, the person that was appointed as our new guild leader one month ago falls squarely into the latter category.

It’s pretty telling that his only response to our leaving announcement was to disable our guild forum accounts. Not a reply, not a whisper, not even a single “bye”. This only reinforced our opinion that leaving was the right thing to do.

But, of course, it’s still sad.

In happier news, here, have a screenshot of my paladin.

Horsey!

My first alt to reach level 40! I’m so proud ♥
